Carlos Hernandez

Clinical Intern

Hi! I am currently a counselor in training at Adler University, where I am pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish from The College of Wooster, blending my passion for understanding human behavior with my deep appreciation for language and culture.

As a counselor in training, I am particularly dedicated to supporting clients from Latin cultural backgrounds who are navigating significant life transitions. Whether it’s adjusting to a new environment, experiencing changes in family dynamics, or facing the challenges of personal growth, I strive to create a compassionate and supportive space where my clients can explore their emotions and experiences freely.

I believe empathy and deep understanding are essential to effective therapy. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their stories and feelings. I am committed to walking alongside them as they navigate the complexities of change, offering guidance that respects and honors their unique cultural identities.

Together, we will work not only to manage the difficulties that come with transitions but also to foster growth and uncover new strengths. I view therapy as a collaborative process where both the client and therapist learn and grow together. I look forward to partnering with you on this journey toward healing, self-discovery, and the positive changes you seek in your life.
