Sam Bennett, LPC

Clinical Supervisor

Hello there! I am a licensed professional counselor, and I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from Adler University.  I completed my undergraduate studies with a Bachelor's Degree of Science and Humanities at Ball State University with a minor in Psychology of Human Development and an emphasis in Sociology.  I am also LGBTQ+ Safe-Zone Trained.

Seeking therapy can be an intimidating experience, and making the decision to start can take courage.  I strive to create a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental, relaxed and culturally sensitive environment for each client. I tailor therapy to each individual client in a holistic and inclusive way. This includes an inclusive space for all sexual, gender, and racial/ethnic identities.

Authenticity, compassion and connection are values that I strive to model in both my personal life and therapeutic practice.  I currently practice from a Humanistic-Person-Centered perspective while integrating other evidence-based practices.   I truly believe that you are the expert on your own life.  Thus, you already have the answers within yourself, though they may be clouded at times.  I view my role as a collaborator and guide, helping you understand yourself better, to become more compassionate towards yourself, and working to remove any obstacles that may be getting in the way of your overall well-being and happiness.  I also see therapy as a space to empower and uncover a fuller and more authentic version of yourself, and to build healthy social connections, all of which are tailored to the unique individual that you are.
